Object Relations Theory

This course will introduce the students to Object Relations Theory. We will read major object relations theorists and consider the impact of the theory on treatment.

Friday Night Films

January 6 to May 12, 2012
7:30-9L30 pm, The first Friday of each month

Psychoanalytic Review of Seminal films
Cost $5 each meeting ($25 for all 5 sessions)
Instructor, Bruce Klein, MA
The class will meet at instructor's home in Huntington Woods for two hours, one evening per month for five months, from January until May. Five films will be discussed:
"The Fisher King"
"Ordinary People"
"Good Will Hunting"
"The Three faces of Eve"
"Girl Interrupted"
(Film selection subject to change.) Each participant will be expected to have viewed the assigned film prior to our meeting. Participants will discuss how a psychoanalytic and/or psycho-dynamic approach may be used in ameliorating the diagnosed neurosis. The cost will be $5.00 per session to be donated to MiSIPS. Class size is limited to ten participants.
